2024 Formula One World Championship

Max Verstappen won his fourth World Drivers' Championship, driving for Red Bull Racing-Honda RBPT.

Lando Norris finished runner-up, his best Championship finish since he joined Formula One in 2019, driving for McLaren-Mercedes.

Charles Leclerc finished third, driving for Ferrari.

McLaren-Mercedes won their ninth World Constructors' Championship, and their first since 1998.

Ferrari finished second in the World Constructors' Championship.

Red Bull Racing-Honda RBPT, the defending Constructors' Champions, finished third.

The 2024 FIA Formula One World Championship was a motor racing championship for Formula One cars and was the 75th running of the Formula One World Championship. It was recognised by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), the governing body of international motorsport, as the highest class of competition for open-wheel racing cars. The championship was contested over a record twenty-four Grands Prix held around the world.

Drivers and teams competed for the titles of World Drivers' Champion and World Constructors' Champion, respectively. Defending Drivers' Champion Max Verstappen started off the season with five wins in the first seven races, but was pressured by McLaren-Mercedes driver Lando Norris for the rest of the season after his RB20 fell behind Norris' MCL38 in terms of performance. Despite this, Verstappen performed consistently at the front of the field and won his fourth consecutive Drivers' Championship title at the Las Vegas Grand Prix, while McLaren surpassed defending Constructors' Champions Red Bull Racing-Honda RBPT and achieved their ninth Constructors' Championship title at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Their first Constructors’ Championship victory in 26 years, McLaren became the first constructor other than Red Bull Racing and Mercedes to win the title since Brawn in 2009.
