As President of the United States, Donald Trump has taken several executive actions restricting entry into the United States by certain foreign nationals. His first-term travel bans predominantly affected Muslim-majority countries, were challenged in court, and criticized as targeting Muslim nationals. Most were subsequently revoked by Joe Biden in 2021. In January 2025, during his second term, Trump signed an executive order aimed at developing new travel restrictions for national security.
